Science: The universe and earth are very old


The Age of the Universe:

Astronomers have been studying the age of the universe for decades using many different techniques. As technology has increased and the tools have become more precise, the age measurements are now converging at about 13.7 billion years.

The Age of the Earth:

The age of the earth has also been well established by scientists, mostly by geologists that are able to measure the age of rocks with various dating techniques. Current measurements put the formation of the earth at about 4.5 billion years ago.
